The single cylinder Segway scooter will be powered by a 300cc 2 stroke single cylinder engine with dual overhead cams and electronic variable timing, and an intercooled turbocharger to provide an extra performance boost where needed. A spokesperson representing the project says the scooter will be called the "Segway SRT-1" and will cost between $8000 and $10000 initially. The SRT-1 will be available in blue, yellow, black, red, and white. A drivers license is not required to operate the scooter which makes this an excellent option for schoolchildren or grandparents who should not be driving an automobile.
