Some people have more money than they could spend in ten lifetimes, but they still want more.

What about you, how much before you'd say,

No thank you I have enough?

I'd need the better part of the money to help those in need. Myself, I'd only need about a million, most of which I'd invest in order to live on the interest.

voted, other see comment-- I'll take as much as I can get. Don't get me wrong. I enjoy the heck out of what I have. It's just not a thing that I want to spend a lot of time thinking about. That's why I figure I'll never have much... which suits me okay. I like life the way it is.

I'd love to not have to work for a living, to be rich enough to live in a beach house and just fart around all the time.

Ah well, that won't happen, but I can dream.

^ that's exactly where I am... living on a beach, the one on my user page is a couple minute walk from my house. I continue to work a minimally paid job to cover my current living expenses without dipping into savings. It's not extravagant by any means. In fact, you'd think we were living below poverty level, ha. We wern't looking for frills... just a comfortable, minimalistic, stress fee lifestyle. Don't be fooled, it can be done, even if temporarily.

but when I was growing up, my goal was to earn as much as US president, which I viewed as the ultimate indicator of success.

these days, that's about $440k.
