Voted : Youthful rebellion
It seems each youth generation wants to top the previous with their own rebellious "shock" signature style. The only problem is, all the cool ideas appear to have been used up already. So their stuck with this silly fad.
It's not just the youth. I'v seen people in their late 20s and 30s wearing their pants like that. It looks ridiculous.
Was at my parent's home a few months ago and some guy was walking down the street with his pants down to his crotch (lower than the one pictured). I thought it was pretty sickening, especially since there were very young kids out playing in the same area. I told him to pull his pants up or risk being turned in for indecent exposure. He was stupid enough to believe that it was "indecent exposure", so he pulled them up.
I'll be damned if I set by and watch my parents' neighbor hood turn into a breeding ground for thugs. True, saggy pants doesnt make one a thug. But in the area I live, thugs are about the only ones who do that.
Fear of growing older makes adolescents do things their parents and other old people probably would not do.

But you've got to admit that it's funnier that all heck to watch one of these clowns try to run across a street. I even saw one fall flat on his face in the middle of an intersection.
well, im a "sagger" by words, but im not THAT much of a sagger, some of us, like myself, only sag halfway down or butt or less. We can walk okay and my boxers almost NEVER show...so we're not all like that...please dont judge us by a couple of people out of twenty that sag like that...the majority of the rest probably sag no lower than half way down their butt...if that! Don't discriminate kid's dressing likes and dislikes because of those who cant walk because their pants are too big.

It looks sexy on some guys, but my husband hates it! He always yells at our boys to pull up their pants, but most of his friends wear their pants like that...and it's hot, just not hot on 12 year olds like that kid in the picture, he looks like a wigger
