Voted : No. We should not give up liberty to defend liberty
An important distinction: NO ONE said they should give up wiretapping (although they try to spin the debate as if this is what is under discussion). The issue is warrant- less wiretapping. The issue is not limitation of options, but presence of oversight and presence of accountability.
Voted : No. We should not give up liberty to defend liberty
This is just the beginning. Bush and his acolytes hate freedom, and will keep chipping away at it until it's gone.
This is just another ploy for Bush to gain more control. Ben Franklin sums it up with this statement. "Those who would give up liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."
Voted : No. We should not give up liberty to defend liberty

Voted : No. We should not give up liberty to defend liberty

Voted : No. We should not give up liberty to defend liberty
