Homosexuality common among a certain type of chimps (can't remember the name). And doves who are confined start to exhibit homosexual behavior, as Conrad Lorenz discovered. I think it's fairly widespread.
Then we must do all we can to stop it wherever it rears it's ugly head.

^ yep, also zoologist have many documnted cases in species from penguins to primates... There are many documented cases in the wild as well... for instance the lesbian seagulls of Santa Barbara.
What type of influences to brain development?
This ballot is my lame attempt at being facetious. The idea is that we can "choose" (or un-choose) to be gay...as opposed to being born with a preference. The brain development comment was trying to bring "choice" into the arguement, which then can be attributed to "free will" and then ultimately "sin"...

Homosexuality is practiced in many species. The book Biological Exuberance lists literally 100s of examples. It is hardly "against nature" if so many species engage in it.
The chimp species is Bonobo.
It commonly occuring birth defect just like any other. It's been occuring since the beginning of time. It's nothing new.
Compassion and consideration should be shown to gay people just as you would to any other person born with a birth defect.
As with any other birth defect, IT IS NOT A CHOICE!

^defect... a flaw by what standards? Prove to me that homosexuality is not a part of natures big picture... without myth!
It's all to do with the wiring, some people are born a genius, some are not, but I don't believe anyone would say you had a birth defect if you were born a genius.
It is not a defect any more than kinky hair or lobed ears are. A defect is a heart with missing chamber or the malady known as mermaid syndrome.

I've seen enough male dogs mounting each other in turn to believe this. The bias against homosexuality is, IMO, all in people's heads.
