it's not the middle east, it's a failed ideology that is spreading at an alarming rate

Yeah, it's not the Middle East anymore, it's a failed ideology called US imperialism and conquest of sovereign nations for control of their oil that is spreading at an alarming rate.

No Ken, I meant what if it disappeared? Would the world be a better place? I think it would.
You fail to comprehend the fascistic nature of Islam and the threat it poses to the stability of society as we know it. Blame the United States now and ask us to save you later I suppose, Ken.
by lowerclassbrats on Mon Sep 18, 06 7:30pm [+]

Probably, except for maybe a couple of countries. Unless people are freed from the shackles of Islamic radicalism.

Ken will probably never catch the clue bus on the nature of Islam. He is too busy spreading their bogus conspiracy theories.

I'm automatically put off from ballots that don't include choices of the opposite viewpoint, even if they can be added.

Better? No. A bit safer? Maybe.

No. There is great culture and history in the Middle East and, more importantly, several hundred million people.

^^ Pardon me, but what are you talking about? He offered up YES, NO and MAYBE. What choices would you have wanted, that you in fact could not add yourself? Not getting your point.

That's a lot of people. It would be better if they stopped killing each other and learned more from mistakes made by western countries in the past.
by skylab on Mon Sep 18, 06 8:38pm [+]

I added the "No" choice. It was originally only "Yes" and "Maybe."
by himself809 on Mon Sep 18, 06 8:38pm [+]

And you're right, I could (and did) add it. It's just that only putting choices that would at least slightly affirm his opinion makes me think that he (I'm assuming that you're a he, brats... sorry if I'm wrong O.o) intentionally made it a biased ballot.
by himself809 on Mon Sep 18, 06 8:41pm [+]

You're right the ballot I made is/was biased. I suppose my point is as of late the middle eastern region of the globe has offered the world oil, extremism, violence and nothing else.
by lowerclassbrats on Mon Sep 18, 06 9:52pm [+]

The "no" option was intentionally left off to make my sentiments obvious.

How would they ever sell newspapers without it?

Eh...last thing I heard about the Middle East was that one of it's biggest country's was being occupied by fascist foreign invaders, who were responsible for the rapes and deaths of many tens of thousands of it innocent men, women and children.

Ireland doesn't need to be saved by your 'heroes' thank you very much, we are doing quite nicely as the the second richest per capita nation in the world thank you very much.

We don't want to see our country destroyed, so thank God we don't have any oil.

The 11th commandment - though shalt not covet and steal thy neighbour's oil.

We have got to keep an eye on the long term people. Reason has beaten religion every time. The age of reason was the most significant revolution of the modern era. In my opinion fascist islamic and christian fundamentalsim is a reaction to the fact that they are going out of business and know it. Fundamentalism is the last hurrah or the bigot. This too shall pass. We shall prevail.

We all have to learn to play well with others -- not just those who do as we say. Otherwise, it will be a small, small world.

And a lot will depend on who is doing the assessing.
