Voted : No, it appears that the neocons have blown it again
To quote Homer Jay Simpson, "D'oh!"
I mena, we've *only* been saying this for *how long*?
This claim is pure speculation. It may be the case that the Iraq war has strengthened terrorists by giving them another cause in their recruitment campaign. We cannot know this, however logical it may seem. The terrorists did not appear to have any difficulty in recruiting before Iraq, and it is hard to imagine how things are better for them now. Time will tell.
For some, it may have confirmed their belief that America is the great Satan and must be stopped at all cost.
This thing that is happening in Iraq has not turned out to be in America's best interest -- to say nothing of Iraq. Forget about the "neocons". We know who the person most directly responsible for precipitating this disaster is; it's so obvious that it doesn't need to be repeated over and over again. It would be better to at least try and collaborate on a solution instead of running around with our political heads so far up our asses that we can't even see what it is we're arguing about anymore.
