I think on the whole, America remains one of the best countries in the world. There are many other great countries.

It used to be, but sadly not any more, it's being destroyed by the neocons that have taken it over and have literally turned it into a war mongering imperialistic fascist state that is Hell bent on usurping the civil liberties that it's people have enjoyed since the founding fathers wrote and enshrined in the constitution the Bill of Rights, which they unceremoniously shredded an an act of unforgivable bare faced betrayal, dismissing it as only a 'piece of paper' and replacing it with their own expedient and tyrannical misnomered 'Patriot Acts' 1 and 2, they are a pnack of bellicose wolves who will kill anyone, including their own people to fulfil their evil self serving PNAC neo Nazi globalist agenda.

I am anti-Bush for good reasons, you have yet to state on reason in favour of his premiership.
I assume you get contracts from the government, or are in reciept of the tax breaks he gave the rich, or you are in favour of a war in two countries that sends more and more body bags stateside.
Do you live in a cave or something, Bush took the goodwill of all nations after 9/11 and pissed it away.

And we need a lot of improvement. The same can be said for many other countries I've visited (about thirty all told, if memory serves). Shangri-La was just a place in a book. It's not real.
