For any who don't know, put simply, it is a form of entertainment in which thousands of spectators watch several participants go through a lengthy, flamboyant process to kill a bull. What little meat from the few thousand bulls killed annually there is to be had is normally sold and eaten. Bullfighting has become an integral part of traditional Spanish culture, but it has received growing criticism from animal rights activists, mainly from outside of said Spanish-speaking countries.
