MARGARINE ~ ONE MOLECULE AWAY FROM BEING PLASTIC?

Try this:
Leave a tub of margarine in your garage or a
shaded area.
Within a couple of days you will note a couple of
things: no flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something)
It does not rot or smell differently because it has no nutritional value. nothing will grow on it.
Even micro organisms will not a find a home to grow because it is nearly plastic.
Might as well melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast.

For which of these reasons do you use Margarine?

Very high in trans fatty acids
Triple risk of coronary heart disease
Increases total cholesterol and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol)
lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol)
Increases the risk of cancers up to five fold
Lowers quality of breast milk
Decreases immune response
Decreases insulin response
Margarine is but one Molecule away from being plastic
None, I don't use it
ummm it taste good. wtf?
Contains vitamins A, D amd E
i love plastic, plastic is the shit. I like eating plastic bags too
Margarine - only slightly less appetising than gangarine.

COMMENTS:
Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating the same amount of butter,
according to a recent Harvard Medical Study.

I never knew, that's all we use too.
by larrynelmira on Wed Sep 27, 06 7:26pm [+]

Margarine was originally manufactured to fatten turkeys. When it killed the turkeys, the people who had put all the money into the research wanted a
payback so they put their heads together to figure out what to do with this product to get their money back.
It was a white substance with no food appeal so they added the yellow coloring and sold it to
people to use in place of butter.

That's it, I'm off margerine for good...I seem to have forgotten I can afford butter now...
by um__yeah on Wed Sep 27, 06 8:10pm [+]

I haven't used margarine in years. Just read the ingredients on the box. That stuff will kill you.
by Bostonian on Wed Sep 27, 06 9:26pm [+]

I never use it. Real butter, real mayo, real coke, etc.
by herzog on Wed Sep 27, 06 9:41pm [+]

Never use it, never have done. Don't know about plastic but my reason is it's always been one step away from tasting like shite.
by xxxxxxxx on Wed Sep 27, 06 10:17pm [+]

it's a wonder it's even legal :o
but I guess that's a "freedom" issue right there :p
by Jyl on Wed Sep 27, 06 11:27pm [+]

My parents used to feed it to us as a cheaper substitute for butter, but I've never used it as an adult.

BTW, what have we come to in this country when news such as this doesn't cause an overthrow of the FDA and food industry. What a bunch of placid sheep we have become.

No, we are a group of people who can choose.
(Some of use make our own decisions.)

^ A group of people who can choose WRONG apparently. Perhaps we dont deserve freedom of choice?
by lil_ape on Thu Sep 28, 06 1:19pm [+]

I just don't understand what you are saying, lilape.
Everyone makes a wrong choice, now and then, but there are some who nearly always await to be told what to do.
by Black_Lava on Thu Sep 28, 06 2:58pm [+]

Voted : i love plastic, plastic is the shit. I like eating plastic bags too
instead of wasting them...just eat them. Well, i melt them first, and then eat them...the only problem i have is the Ralphs and Vons ink marks on my shit! LOL

Ok, ok i don't eat plastic. I only use REAL butter, and REAL CALIFORNIA CHEESE!

Gotta ove the steroids in these factory farmed~mass produced clones!

Voted : Margarine - only slightly less appetising than gangarine.
Jesus Christ I never knew margarine - or gangarine - as I shall now refer to it - was such a vile toxic substance, and the 'fatten turkeys' comment if true is utterly chilling.

How incredible is it that is this inedible gunk even legal?

Thank God I haven't eaten it since I was a child, good old 'Kerrygold' butter will only do for me today.

we believe in not supressing opinions of anyone on the web, no matter what their points of view may be.

BestandWorsters would like it known, that while we think margarine tastes like shit, the above information isn't to be taken literally and is made in jest. We thank you!!

Dear Richard Cristol

You could have added your own choice.

Then made a comment like everybody else.

And by the way...

Couldn't you sign your own name?

Looks like you had a computer sign it for you.

Respectfully

They can't sue to suppress freedom of speech. This lawsuit isn't almost laughable, it IS laughable. And the uber-stupidity demonstrated by NAMM doesn't help their argument.
by nuckinfutz on Wed Oct 29, 08 7:46pm [+]

I doubt that BestAndWorst is a major threat to the margarine industry. Strange that they would overreact that way.
