ARE AMERICANS AS A SOCIETY TOO STUCK ON POINTING FINGERS AT ONE ANOTHER?

[+] serious ballot by Guest From 195.229.14.154

Are Americans, especially politicians, too stuck in our society with pointing fingers at one another, wanting to play the blame game rather than A) accept responsibility for our own actions or B) accepting that certain situations were out of anyone's control?

9/11 has been blamed on Clinton for failing to act on previous terrorist attacks. It has been blamed on Bush for failing to react to mounting evidence that such an attack was imminent. This Democrat is a drug abusing dead beat dad, this Republican is a pedophilic internet browser, where does it all end?

It gets worse still when a natural disaster is called into play. Hurricane Katrina was horrible and no one foresaw it, not the Democratic governor or Democratic mayor of New Orleans, not the Republican in the White House, no one realized how bad it was going to be.

Why then is there this disgusting urge to blame blame blame blame blame rather than come up with any sort of realistic solution for situations that we as Americans do not agree with?

Instead of calling democrats unrealistic and soft on crime, and ridiculous for their environmental activist ideas, why can't republicans come up with their own programs that work?

Instead of calling republicans nazis and fools for their anti terrorism policies, why can't democrats come up with solutions to these problems that don't involve name calling and childish blaming?

And don't give me that "Oh, so and so does have a great plan for this and that" because it's all bullshit, pure and simple. Politicians are mouth pieces for their parties, oh sure, some go to Washington DC with great intentions but they will never ally themselves with either wholesome common sense, morally correct decisions, or otherwise if it means they will stray some from the proverbial "political trough" that both sides feed in, because it would mean a high chance of not being re-elected.

Don't you sometimes wish this finger pointing would stop?
I

COMMENTS:
We've become a society where no one accepts responsiblity and blaming the other guy has become an artform.

Voted : Yes, this finger pointing is ridiculous.
Oh, where, oh, where did personal responsibility go? Or the concept of getting past the Blame Game and doing the work neccessary to get past the trauma?
