I like Dr. Who. Shows what the Brits can do with a low budget and good writing.
In fact, I just got one from Netflix and plan to watch it tomorrow.

Fan since 1965. I've only recently got back into the show though (since the SciFi network began showing it). They just never seemed to run it on any tv stations that I got. The last time I saw the Doctor, up until a couple of years ago, he was an old man with long white hair (William Hartnell). Always liked the show, but I've got a heck of a lot of catching up to do.
i only discovered it last year when it was rerunning on the cbc. now i'm hooked, old and new.
I"ve only watched bits and pieces of the show but it seems good. I'll have to watch a full show next time it's on tv.

According to the 'rules' set out by the old writers, a Time Lord can regenerate 12 times, meaning a total of 13 different forms. However, in the current state of things, the old writers didn't expect the Time Lord homeworld to be destroyed, so what they thought seems to be irrelevant. Now, since the Doctor is the only Time Lord left, he has complete autonomy on the Eye of Harmony, whose only remaining link is deep in the Catacombs of the TARDIS. It is the Eye that gives a Time Lord the ability to regenerate and so if no-one else is governing it, it's up to the Doctor how long he lives.
