If minimum wage isn't nessacery then why do some companies ONLY pay their employees that much, despite the fact that $5.15 is below the living wage in nearly every city in America? You say it isn't nessecary for congress to designate a minimum wage because it's self regulating, but clearly people will work for less than they can live on as long as they can use your tax dollars for welfare. When a company pays only minimum wage (like many walmart stores) then the corperation depends on the taxpayers to pay their labor costs by covering the difference in pay to living cost through welfare. I say not only is minimum wage nessecary but not raising it to meet inflation is fiscally unsound and- heaven forbid- COMMUNIST!
