The principle I hold is that sexual orientation is not a factor in evaluating office holders. this holds even if it means not exposing yet another example of rank hypocrisy.

Although I do think the culture of secrecy is unhealthy. It stems from the Republicans' stated stance on gays, which is zero-tolerance.

Has nothing to do with the performance of their duties. Besides, it makes for better viewing, watching them squirm once they're outed, especially when you can dig up nice anti-gay quotes on them.
