DO YOU TAKE VITAMINS/SUPPLEMENTS?

[+] serious ballot by um__yeah

Do you take any supplements for your general well being? Well...I for one can attest that they are at least beneficial for your health. I regularly take Omega-3 capsules and I'm convinced my blood pressure is lower and I feel more relaxed and less stressed.

I hope that I will never have to rely on pharmaceuticals to maintain my health; I've seen what they can do to my loved ones and I hate them...it seems many of the side effects of these drugs when combined are worse than the illness they're trying to treat.

No, they are a placebo
Yes I take them and I think they work
Yes
No they make my stomach hurt
No, but I would like to/need to.

I truely believ cures for many, many illnesses will be found, eventually, in natural ingredients, not chemicals. I take daily, garlic, omega 3 fish oil, and saw pellmetto.

Vitamin supplements are important. The "Required Daily Amount" (RDA) is a non-scientific guess at what we need. Supplements help ensure that we get enough of each vitamin and mineral. If you are an athlete, you can prove for yourself the difference with/without vitamins. I run, and if I don't take the vitamin supplements, I can tell the difference.

I blame my North American diet..If I was living in Greece or Southern Italy I probably wouldn't need Omega-3. But it makes a difference. The saw pallmeto can wait a few years I think, I'mstilla young buck with plenty of spunk left...*looks nervously at crotch*

It's best to take whole food supplements. They're better than regular vitamins which don't get entirely absorbed into your system.

Cathexis, I bought a bottle of fish oil tablets and they've been sitting on the shelf for a couple of months. When I opened the bottle it smelled just like fish and I'm afraid I'll have fish breath. Are they as bad as they smell?

I used to take them, but all they did was upset my stomach. I quit them years ago.
