WHEN YOU WORK YOUR ASS OFF ON A PROJECT AND IT FAILS, HOW DO YOU ....

.... console yourself?

For example, a job application, an entrepreneurial venture, an idea, a school project, etc.

(I really do think we need a bit more space to make our questions complete.)

I think, "I did my best, and that's all anyone can do."
Drown my sorrows.
Feel bitter or sorry for myself.
Just move on.

I know it sounds trite, but you can sometimes learn more from a failed project than from a successful one.

It's hard to not blame self. All of those 'if onlys'. But, in the end, when you have done your best, don't forget that you have done your best and move on.

I used to feel bitter or sorry for myself , but now I just try not to let it bother me and try again another day.

You're not Deity, you're not a guy in glasses who works at the Daily Planet. You're just you. If, in your heart and soul, you know that you threw all that you had into something, then know that you had nothing left to give, except doing the project in your blood with a quill fashioned from your index finger.

Voted : Drown my sorrows.
Actually, I do saw "I did my best, whatever will be will be"
But still it's a good excuse for drowning my sorrows! IC_cheer

Beer is my solution, but so is the thought that (concerning school projects) everyone else failed too, and its most likely because of really, really, shitty teachers, who are there to get the paycheck and leave....had one? I've had many! I blame my ignorance on them!

treat it as learning experience... many more opportunities around the corner... and I'm all about a beer pass or fail!
