No. Of course they came down to help boost the Republcans chances at the polls.Thats pretty obvious.
You see, the good thing is if you vote democratic and the republicans lose then their canidates won't be in office to support the oil company's gouging. It's a win win. If they lower them before the election and try to raise them afterward the dems will set up an investigation. They've been really short sighted lately but they are desperate.
And a loose/loose too? Like if the companies throwing money into govt. ended up loosing That and what they counted on gaining afterward :p

They're about to go up already. OPEC's ordered a decrease several days ago in production to raise prices. This due to lowered profits after they dropped during the last part of the summer. Still, we should be lucky we're paying so little for it. Adjusting for inflation, we're actually paying the same if not a little less.
..than we were in the 70s, that is.

Here in Atlanta, it's already starting to creep up on us, from $2/gal friday last to $2.17/gal today.

I'd be shocked if they didn't jump.

OPEC will see to that.
Gas prices went up prior to the 2004 election. Afterwards they went down. Geez people. Learn some basic economics and get your paranoid head out of your ass.
^I will, just as soon as you take your head out of Bush's ass.
lalala cranky. I never voted for Bush and never will. You are just one of these numb nut fools who think that the gas price fall is being handled behind the scenes with the intent of helping republicans. It isn't my fault that you are paranoid, devoid of any knowledge of economics, blame Bush because you didn't get a date last night and that you spend every waking moment obsessing over him. You probably have him in all of your dreams/nightmares. He is a president and not a very good one. He isn't, nor are his minions somehow managing gas prices. Look at how he is managing the Iraq war. Thinking the republicans are somehow manipulating the gas prices to help keep them in power isn't all that much more ridiculous than all the idiotic 9/11 conspiracy theories and the idiots on this site that push them. Catch the clue bus. Take a middle school economics class. Read the BUSINESS section of your newspaper once in a while. Gas prices always drop at the end of summer. There is a glut of oil at this time. Prices are low. Producers want to moderate prices and keep them stable. We are actually paying less for gas now than we have for many years when adjusted for inflation. If republicans wanted to do something to help their election hopes they could always raise the minimum wage, end the tax cuts for the rich, actually govern ethically and responsibly, etc. I suppose the high stock market value right now is a Bush/Republican conspiracy too. Hey the price of orange juice and milk dropped! Those damn sneaky republicans! cuckoo cuckoo
^Okay, take your head out of herzog's ass, then.
FiddleFaddleOnLSD ! You have facts because you read and listen to smart people. Now, cracky: he can only 'parrot' what his little friends say. As for reading and listening, he very obviously doesn't . He'll never change.
