Excellent point. Some people I know call it the the Hitler or Nazi channel. What is really odd is that they tend to show things like "Nazi super weapons" or Nazi "Science". They rarely show stuff on the Germans terrorizing the countries that they took over, the bombing of Britain, etc. Most of it seems to glorify the Nazis instead of showing all the bad things they did or focusing on the victorious allies. The allies did win, didn't they? Didn't they have secret weapons? etc.
Perhaps it is just this fascination that people have with a regime so evil. That or it is better for ratings to shows the Nazis instead of the allied powers.

it is a good point. there was about 2000 years of history before wwii and about 60 years since. they can cover other stuff besides hitler and the second world war.

Of course it was a big deal, no one's said it wasn't, but it's true that's all the channel tells about. Maybe the problem is not enough programs have been made about other parts of history, a whole world full of history, not one single program that they can get their mitts on about anything else besides WWII.
That must be it.

That said, it still has a fair number of really good programs, but the WWII/Nazi programs are becoming more than a little tedious :O
Try watching the World at War series for a real look at WW2.
Because people watch those episodes.
They'd show nothing but the history of sorghum if that's what people watched.
Because they're obsessed with the Nazis. They would probably show us video footage of hitler's corpse if they could.
I think it's a conservative scam to constantly remind viewers of the evils of dictators as a way of subliminally influencing people about our involvement in Iraq and the war on terror. It's like "hey, see what happened the last time we ignored a threat."
The Hitlory Channel is just another sucker on the G.E. arm of the Zionist media octopus. I never see them mention the 20 million killed in the Ukraine.
Yes, all the war hype is deliberately set up to promote war heroes and glamourize all the killing and mass murder committed by people in uniform, who should have known better than to waste their lives following murderous and incredibly stupid world leaders, who believe they can solve their disputes and problems by murdering millions of people (civilians & soldiers in uniform)...
War is pointless and useless, and only serves to enrich war profiteers and arms manufacturers, as well as bankers who lend millions or billions of dollars to governments.
War is only run for profit.
If you demand all the politicians who want to start wars to stand on the front lines of battle, fully exposed to gun fire and able to lose their lives in combat, ONLY THEN WILL YOU SEE AN END TO ALL THESE POINTLESS & USELESS KILLING CAMPAIGNS & WARS FOR PROFIT...
WAR is good for business, especially for those who don't risk their health or lives on the battle field. That's why Bush & Cheney and Rumsfeld all avoided military action in Vietnam and are called "Chickenhawks".
Just watch the opening D-Day invasion scene of the DVD movie: "Saving Private Ryan", and you will see just how pointless war really is.
All they had to do to save all those soldier's lives, is to send in an elite assassination team to take out Hitler, Goering and all the other top Nazi Generals, Colonels and top ranking field officers in the German Army, Navy and Airforce - eliminate the few leaders who want to start wars and fights - PROBLEM SOLVED!
The same goes for ALL enemies of peace... foreign & domestic... remove them from power, legally or physically, if they pose a threat to your safety, peace and freedoms... especially if you find out they have lied to you just to get you conned into joining their fake wars!

Damned if I have a clue. Personally, I'd like to see more shows about WWI or UFOs.
I agree with FiddleFaddle for a change. World At War is still the best documentary series on WW2. I like the amount of coverage of WW2 on history and maybe there should be an entire history channel devoted to it, History WW2.
