Neither. He came from the middle east, and he was jewish. So he wasn't african, he wasn't european. He probably looked like a middle-eastern jew.

Jesus was had white, white, skin, sandy blonde hair, and blue eyes. Just look at a picture of him hanging in a fundamentalist Christian church if you want proof.
Hes a fictional character, paint him anyway you like.

The Good book says his hair was like wool and his skin was like brass if I remember correctly so all you anthropology types wade in and clear this up...maybe he had a deep tan...
What lil_ape said. I guess the creators had in mind, as herzog points out, a middle eastern Jew as their leading man.
He wasnt black. If he were, God would have said to him; "You is what you is".
^^ Wideheadofcabbage...you just don't believe in anything do you?
He was probably olive. He probably looked like a modern day Palestinian or Mizrahi Jew.
"Wideheadofcabbage...you just don't believe in anything do you? " Some people prefer to see solid physical proof before believing in something.
RE: the ballot If he existed, he would have looked like a Palestinian. IMO.

"Wideheadofcabbage...you just don't believe in anything do you?" by Freon on Thu Oct 26, 06 12:18am Hey, thanks for the brainless insult. When it comes to religion I firmly believe that the existence of a supernatural deity is so improbable that I live my life in the certainty that there is no such phenomenon. I also believe that people who choose to waste their time worshipping glorified sky-faries have been hoodwinked or brainwashed. Oh, and of course some are too uneducated to know any better. I believe many things, Freon. What's your point?
I have to go with herzog. Seems most probable. I can't believe it matters.
For once herzog is right.
But there are or was black jews...
And he could come down here in any form he wanted to so I guess it doesn't matter except to people who wish to use it as a license or reason to think they are better than other people...
Since Jesus was a descendant of King David, who was a redhead, it is very likely that jesus could have had lighter colored hair and light eyes. The Irish type of redhead was common is ancient Isreal. In fact, some Irish people believe their red hair came from the ancient Jews.
he wasn't any race .he wasn't even human he didn't go through the natural states to become one .he was sent from god .he wasn't prodouced spem nor egg so his not human.he was above us he was gods only SPRITUAL son.I dont like ta consinder him a race thats like lowering his stadus. He did something any human can't not til dis day do he died for everyone's sins and rose from his grave and asended into the gates of heaven.
it doesn't matter what color or race He was, all it matters that HE took our place, he died for our sins on the cross, He is our saviour, our redeemer, our God. the only way to heaven, the Truth and everlasting life.
Not black. Not white. Sorry! Time to stop that!
Wideheadofknowledge... remember this comment you wrote when you are burning in hell.

I believe Jesus was black
hey, fundamentalist Christian, there were no cameras in ancient Israel. he was a Jew. which means he probably had dark hair dark eyes and darkER (not black) skin
is't ok, most white people know the true color of jesus but are shame to admit it, you are going to be surprise when you get to heaven, and find out he is darker than you
jesus was'nt a jew,he was a nazereen(however you spell it)he was galled the king of the jews(that was on his cross

He was neith white or black he was aJew and what ever color skin they had at that time is more than likely what color of skin he had. As for as heim being a white man are a black man with nappy hair I say neither one is correct. Jesus was however more than likely dark skined but was not a negro just a Jew with striaght dark brown hair more than likely very wavey.
Voted : Does it really matter, when compared to what he taught us?
it does not matter on what is on tne outside that counts, it is what is in the inside and that is exerted by words and shown by action
Voted : he was black
he was a Nazerite how many white people can let there hair grow naturally and have it lock on it's own , how many middle easterners can do it none , only the wooly hair of the first man , the black man
to this day there are black tar like human beings in the mountains and hills of israel and the middle east , ask them how long they've been there = SINCE TIME
the aancient tribe of israel were all black. they were sometimes thought to be Canaanites or either Egyptians (See U.S. and world report Mag...1987 or 89. You must remember that the people you see now aren,t the indigenous people of the land. The picture of the black madonna that is kept over in Poland is said to be painted by the apostle Luke himself.

He was probably not white. Black maybe. personally i think he had olive coloured skin.
he was white like he always has been.. I dont go and ask if muhammed was brown or white.
He didn't exist, Christianity is a hoax created by the 'Illuminati'.

First, the guy his mother was married to turned out not to be the babay-dadday. Second, he was known to be a carpenter, but there is no mention in the bible of him showing up for work.
'He didn't exist, Christianity is a hoax created by the 'Illuminati'.'
It's obvious that he wasn't White but I don't think he was Black either. Most likely brown, like a dark tan such as most Arab people. Still not like it would have mattered, it might upset some racist fundamentalist Christians though if they were to find out he was anything else other than white. I guess that might be the main purpose why today we just don't know. As for what Wolf_Nipple_Chips said. I totally agree, that's why I also don't believe in Gravity or oxygen as well as every other molecular element such as Hydrogen and Carbon Dioxide because I just don't see it, there's no SOLID physical evidence for it therefore it must not exist. Very good thinking wolf.
