Can't tell you how many women I saw in neighborhoods I grew up in, seeing women walking around abttered and bruised, saying only that they had "accidents".
I see it everyday, and truthseeker, they still say was just an accident.
SORRY I PUT THIS IN PRIVATE SO IT WOULD NOT BE BURIED THIS SUNDAY MORNING, FORGOT TO ASK SECOND PART OF MY QUESTION, WOULD YOU WANT TO RELIVE YOUR CHILDHOOD AND IF NOT WHY. YOU COULD HELP ME WITH MY PAPER IF YOU COULD PLEASE ANSWER THAT.

Societes where women are considered the property of men tend to be more tolerant of domestic violence or violence against women in general. Until recently, the typical wedding ending with a declaration to that effect: "I now pronounce you man (no possession implied) and wife (possession of the man implied). Now it is more common to hear, "I now pronounce you husband and wife (each owned by the other implied). Wouldn't relive my childhood if given the opportunity, because of seeing my mother abused in our home & having personally been abused by family friends as a small child.

There were always violent jerks, and always will be.
As to reliving my childhood, no to that. I was painfully shy back then.
My parents didn't ever fight, argue yes but never ever laid a finger on each other in anger. They saved it for us. 'WOULD YOU WANT TO RELIVE YOUR CHILDHOOD AND IF NOT WHY.' Yes and no, I'd relive the odd holiday, first experiences, first mucky mag, first kiss, sex etc. The rest you can keep, especially school.

My dad never hit my mom but he was never there. Not just hit but threatening to hit us, by hitting walls next to us and scaring us with your fist, and yelling like maniacs really hurts. Like i can feel totally happy, playing, laughing with the kids and then BAM, he has to do this, and it's horrible...i suddenly feel broken, that's the only word i can think of, it sucks. Abuse sucks
