^I think it would be best if you moved to another planet.
1. I can't vote ... your ballot title is diametrically aopposed to your transition sentence. 2. Thanks for taking this special moment to share your personal bigotry with us. 3. If you think it is disgusting, might I suggest you don't indulge? Personally, I think bigotry is disgusting ... perhaps I can get legislation to ban you from my state? Have a nice day. Preferably in another state.
What Larry said.
a planet that allows morons
i think they are disgusting. by b_dallas on Wed Nov 01, 06 1:44pm this from a guy whose motto on his user page is -- My Motto is "If it is not worth praying about, It's not worth worrying about." pray hard tough guy, because you're going to need all the help you can get. hope you like the heat.
I would rather have gay and lesbians in my state than a bunch of pig-ignorant, dark ager, fundamentalist Christians.

Those of you who find b-dallas's opnion distasteful, and expressed this in your comments, thats good. Those of you who felt the need to rate the ballot down, simply because the ballot author holds an opinion that you find distasteful, thats pathetic and an abuse of the karma rules IMO. Seriously, censorship never won an argument.
Voted : yes
They're already here. Hell, last I looked, they were pretty much everywhere. Since they're not trying to convert me or anally rape me, I'm good with them.
BTB, b, as you read the comments, know that- three of the people who replied *are* gay.
Regarding your previous ballot 102244(what is the only way to heaven), do you think God wants us to hate?
THIRTY years ago homosexuality was frowned upon, 20 years ago it became accepted, five years ago they said you could do it if you were 16 . . . Next it's gonna be compulsary! ;o)

i think they are disgusting. entered by : b_dallas Submitted on : Nov 01,2006 1:44:09 pm thats bullshit lil_ape. its not censorship. its exactly how the karma system is supposed to be used. check out his comment above. its hate-filled, cruel and you know as well as i do it was made to insult. how you can think otherwise is hard to figure out.
and for the record, i didn't rate it down. but now that i think of it, maybe i should.
b_dallas I will ask you the question I ask every homophobe, why do you care about what two grown men do with eachother?
Is "i think they are disgusting" what the karma block was about?
What ban? Sources?
Darn, my graphic disappeared. Here, have another.

I believe in the old adium, those who fear homosexuals are obviously repressed deep seeded desires and are expressing it in the only way they can, given their low IQs and scraped knuckes.
"Anyone who says he is walking in the light of Christ, but dislikes his fellow man, is still in darkness." 1 John 2:9
Kev24 That is NOT what the karma system was intended for. This user is expressing an opinion (however out of date/ignorant it may be), the karma system does not encourage negative rating for difference of opinion, which is what we have here. The ue of the word "disgusting" may be inflammatory, but it is a legitimate adjective, and is not considered an expletive by todays standards. It also isnt advocating violence or any criminal activity. Freedom of speech means that you have to put up with other people holding views you may find distasteful. It always amazes me that many preach about the merits of feedom of speech, and how it is a cornerstone of western society, then instantly resort to negative karma (i.e censorship) the moment they face a view they dont like. Selective freedom of speech is no freedom at all.
Believe it or not, the ballot maker has the right to find homosexuality disgusting. Just like I have the right to find geriatric sex disgusting. Its a sexual preference, and in b_dallas' case, a moral judgement I would guess. Whether its wrong or not isnt the issue.
^For a lot of us, karma isn't the issue. More than one person has a right to freedom of speech.
so then in your opinion lil_ape, the karma system should never be used? of course that is what it is intended for. there's a big difference between freedom of speeck and someone just being a jerk. i never said he didn't have the right to write what he did, did i? but karma is indeed a means to let the other person know you have an issue with what they said. whats fucked up is that you seem to want to focus on the wrong issue here. the lesser issue. you're fine to let a jerk like this write hate-filled insults and derogotory comments and all you care about is that someone gave him a negative karma rating? that is bullshit. and it's not censorchip ape, because his comment is still viewable by anyone who wants to read it. censorship means removing it completely. whatever. think what you want.
Fuck it. I got here too late. Never mind, i'll post something anyway. I don't know about allowing gays into my state, but i certainly wouldnt want them near me for the obvious reason that i am suffering from homophobia, also Corrupt the answer to your question: "What have you got against what two guys get up to in private?" Well let me tell you. I dont want young people growing up to think that homosexuality is cool because it is not. I dont want it taught in schools, i dont like it glamourised in the media and i dont like it being shoved down peoples throats - reason being that i dont think it is normal - personally i find it repugnant and the more it is glamourised in the media, the more damage it may cause on the human race. You may think i am a bit of a nutter and an alarmist but thats your opinion. Oh and by the way, no i am not b_dallas.
"reason being that i dont think it is normal" Is what's normal always what's right?
Do you get repelled by people who 'shove heterosexuality' down your throat? Its still about squelchy bodies doing the beast with two backs
Kev24 Well actually, yes. I believe there shouldnt be a karma system at all. But there is one, and I dont believe it appropriate under the establishded rules to vote this ballot down. The karma system should be for repeatedely abusive users, who try to disrupt the site Or for any other number of infringements (wrong category ballots, over the top vulgarity for the purpose of offending, obvious racism/sexism etc) "i never said he didn't have the right to write what he did, did i?" Yes, you did. The moment you said "but now that i think of it, maybe i should" in reference to rating the ballot down. "but karma is indeed a means to let the other person know you have an issue with what they said" Thats what the comments section is for. :you're fine to let a jerk like this write hate-filled insults and derogotory comments and all you care about is that someone gave him a negative karma rating?" The ballot is obiously in bad taste, do I really need to affirm what several othe rusers had already said? However, the ballot maker has the right to make this ballot. "you're fine to let a jerk like this write hate-filled insults and derogotory comments and all you care about is that someone gave him a negative karma rating?" The eventual consequence of receiving bad karma is explusion from the site. Also, if its not censorship, then what is it? What is the purpose of karma blacok if not to discourage people from reading the comment? It may not be totoal censorship, but its certainly trying to limit the ballot makers voice on the site. Most of all though Kev, regardless of whether the negative rating was justified under the karma rules or not, my primary beef with it is that is smacks of insecurity. Why not debate with the ballot maker, and make him/her realise the error of their ways? You should be able to take someone having views you find offensive on the chin, and argue in favour of your own principles, without simply shutting them out.
no, i said "well now that i think about it, maybe i should." i did not say i will, i said maybe i should. did i? you have no idea lil_ape but you're talking as if i did. it's really not your concern if i did or did not. look, you can believe what you want. i believe that the karma system is indeed for commnents like the one b_dallas made. not for the ballot, but for the tasteless comment. are you seriously telling me that if he had written "all ni**ers are stupid criminals who belong on the plantation" that people should just let him get away with that? bullshit. or is that you just don't care because if its directed at a gay guy, you really don't give a shit? hypocricy at its finest. what if a black person wrote "all white males are whores, thieves, liars and fools who should be shot dead?" you would be okay with that? if you are then you obviously have a polar opposite view than me. as for this ballot and that comment, i still have no idea who rated it down. but i suggest you may want to focus on the main issue and less on this misguided notion of the karma system. the karma system is in place whether you like it or not and its none of my business or yours how people chose to use it. i chose not to use it, and i rarely ever use it, mostly because i recognized that b_dallas is most likely an alias and also that no matter who he is, i feel more sorry for thim than anything.
Guys, before qouting verses you should read the bible. i should not have said they were "disgusting". i apologize. it'as just my opinion. BUT i do not agree with what they believe. You misinterpret what god says. he loves all people, even gays ALTHOUGH he hates what they do. i am not a bigot. i do not hate gays. i simply disagree with their foundations. i want marriage defined as 1 man and 1 woman. What's wrong with that?
yeah, you're some christian. you don't know anything about god. if you did you'd know that god does not hate. its not possible for god to hate anyone or anything. yeah, you're a reallll good christian. a sad lost soul. you're lost.
b_dallas, I think that's what set everybody off was the word disgusting. You're right, the Bible does say that homosexuality is wrong, but it also says that thieves, liars & prostitutes are wrong. Yet these are the people that Jesus hung-out with. In this day and age, we have to be more tolerant of different life-styles and not be so quick to judge others. And No, I'm not gay. I've known tons of gay people over the years and like any other culture, race or life-style, some are good and some are bad. I don't know if you are old enough to remember who the Jesus Freaks were, but they were a bunch of tree hugging, pot smoking, Jesus loving hippies. A lot of people also judged them badly for their life styles. A few years ago, one of my gay friends told me that she believed in God but couldn't go to church because of her life style choice, because the people in the church turned their backs on her. Christians turning their backs on another person like that is more wrong than anything, IMO. You are very entitled to your opinion in opposing that life style and I respect your opinion, but always remember, WWJD (what would Jesus do?)
kev24, i did not say that God hates! you twisted my words around. i said god does not agree with what they believe. He created Adam and Eve,not adam and steve. I DO NOT HATE GAYS!!!!!!! i was merely sticking up for what i believe(not with the disgusting comment). i have apologized and will do so again because i am commanded to by christ,BUT those of you who were insulted with my comment i feel the same way. i believe jesus died for my sins and rose from the grave so i could be saved from eternal damnation and you guys come along telling me he was a homosexual. i find that EXTREMELY insulting. you guys are expressing you opinions just as i did. but still i am deeply sorry for any hard feelings and pray that you guys will forgive me. P.S. i also want to thank you kev24, for your comment about praying hard because i was encouraged to pray and the marriage amendment was passed in my state. -)
