Maybe we just hide our emotions better.

That's generally true, with exceptions. I don't care what people say about me most of the time, but I HATE pathological liars.

We stuppid...
Men have a competitive biological component that makes them adverse to talking about self perceived emotional "weakness". The feelings are there, but they are well hidden. This is why so many more young men suffer from mental illness than women IMO. Women can gain from talking openly with friends about emotional issues, whereas men drive themselves mad trying to deal with it all on their own.
Tell any man 'The Story of John and Lorraina Bobbit", and watch how emotional they can get.

Of course. Schizoid females are almost unheard of, but many men you see walking down the street have some degree of schizoid in their personality.
They have to be. The world never would have been built men were worried about hurting people's feelings and crying over spilt milk. That's why women have accomplished so little cause they worry about dumb stuff like that.

lil_ape: I disagree with your assessment that this is a biological phenomenon. IMO, in Western culture at least (priobably more), men undergo a significant degree of cultural conditioning in order to develop stoicism and repress/ blunt emotion.

And I don't think it is biological. It seems more socially constructed.
