It would cripple the economy. Also, the military serves purposes other than defense and warfare.

not unless the whole world would agree to my Ultimate Solution: putting 75% to sleep and neutering 50% of the remaining 2 billion. We'd weed out the war types first, then share and live in peace and happy stuff like that :)
