When my son was younger he loved pokemon. I took him to the pokemon movie and I can tell you that I have never suffered so much through a movie in my entire life.

I'm probably reading too much into a kids' cartoon, but I dislike Pokemon. The whole concept ... setting the purpose of a whole class of creatures as 'battling for entertainment' ...

Also, Ash comes off as one- dimensional and neurotically competitive.
