I just received an e-mail announcing that a meeting, that I hadn't been looking forward to, has been cancelled.

I can't tell you how much pleasure that news has given me, probably way out of proportion to the actual event.

Sitting here in the afterglow of that good news, I was wondering what other people see as a pleasant surprise in their life.

Finding out that school was cancelled for whatever reason and waking up in the morning and being able to go back to bed. It's the BEST feeling in the world, I tell you.
