We all cross paths with these people. Sometimes it is we who are the cranky ones. Yet, what about members of humanity who are habitually poor at relating with others. Some examples are Barry Bonds, John Kerry's wife, Al Gore, Dennis Miller, Jay Leno, Mike Tyson, Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant, Carrot Top, OJ Simpson, the guy who heads the Playstation 3 American division, and Barbra Streisand.

that's just how they are
learned poor social skills from parents
low self image
they think they have good personalities, but can't see the truth

Some (famous or not, rich or poor) are so high up on their pedestals that they don't see their flaws in dealing with others. Ego plays a big part.

Some people seem to be born that way, although abuse makes it worse. So do grandiosity, pathological lying, poor behavioural controls and so on.
