Conservative gasbag, Glenn Beck, made the following comment to Keith Ellison, the first Muslim Congressman in the U.S.:

"And I have to tell you, I have been nervous about this interview with you, because what I feel like saying is, 'Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies.'"

Is that an appropriate comment or does it simply indicate Becks anti-Muslim bigotry?

It's perfectly appropriate to accuse any Muslim of being a terrorist

Its not appropriate and its not fair, and yes its bigoted.

But, this sort of paranoia is going to continue becoming more widespread and serious, as long as the Muslim community doesnt do a good enough job of condemning terrorism. The Muslim communities need to make a REAl effort to dissasociate themselves from such extremism, or face bigotry like this. Simple.
