Cigarettes are killing a LOT of people. They always have.

There are a good number of people who believe we have too many humans on the planet and there should be more population control.

Are those who are for population control and against cigarettes being hypocritical, I mean seriously, has there ever been anything short of the Black Plague that works as well as cigarettes at removing people from the earth?

Yes, it's hypocritical
No, it's fine to be for P.C. and against ciggies
No, because cigarettes don't just kill the smokers anymore...

Voted : Yes, it's hypocritical
In extremis, IMO. But I guess that they're thinking it's a matter of choice. (Excuse me while I choke on that...) It's perfectly alright if you kill *yourself* with cancer, but *how dare you make that choice for another*!

I wouldn't say I favor population control in this manner, but if people want to kill themselves they ought to be free to do so.

The problem with cigarettes as a population control is that they take a while to kill people, usually after they've procreated and used up more than their fair share of medical resources.

If you want to really make a difference design something only stupid people will use that kills them off early. Lower population and fewer idiot-genes being passed on.

they're too slow, and they don't just hurt the smokers

we need to find a product that will kill those stupid enough to use it willingly much much faster, with no collaterral damage

legalise heroin.
