I think it's safe to say that we can ignore all votes that aren't associated with a comment.

It was 100% "yays" then in a span of 5 minutes something like 17 "nay" votes appeared. I don't think this is simply a case of 17 different users honestly disapproving of socrates as a maintainer all appearing and voting within the same 5 minute span.
This is the childish antic of a bored troll, clearly not representing 51% of the votes on this ballot.

No, for the reasons I have stated. Socrates and I differ on many issues, the war in Iraq being the most prominent.
And I see crank has decided that spamming my ballots isn't enough and is now engaged in childish retaliation ballots. Pity this poor fool.

Well this has turned in to a zoo.
Unfortunately a few immature, and particularly obsessed users, the same who follow me from ballot to ballot but have been banned from making comments, have attempted to skew the results of this one.
But as no one who voted 'nay' had the balls to show themselves (or were banned from commenting and would have had to reveal aliases to do so) I think it is safe to say all real votes were affirmative.
