I was born and raised as a Catholic but now have no affiliation to any organized religion, if I was born in Saudi Arabia I would be raised as a Muslim, I believe my religion and now lack of was decided by my birth place not by any spiritual revelation.
ABC - are you still Religious?
So no devoutly religious people are willing to answer. I wonder why
Look at them shine.
Welcome... to the mirror world!
I was indoctrinated into the religion of The Boosh, but I won't be going to Monkey Hell.
Obviously, people end up believing the religion that is everywhere around them! So, it is a matter of cultural or societal indoctrination, or "brainwashing", if you will.. If I'd been raised in India I would more likely than not be a Hindu. If I'd grown up in Saudi Arabia, I'd be a Muslim. In Latin America, probably a Catholic. And 'in the Bible Belt' one of those old fashioned born-agains. Unfortunately Mohammed's private invented religion may prove to be the scourge of mankind, in spite of his writings being totally unconvincing and completely unacceptable. Believers, being ignorant and superstitious, will believe anything. It's not just unfortunate, it may prove to be deadly.
I was raised Catholic and my parents understood when I renounced my faith. 10 years later I came into a relationship with Jesus.
