Considering there was not a civil war before the invasion of Iraq, one has to put the blame squarely at the doors of the invaders, it would be unjust to blame it solely on GW when other countries are involved.

I would say its over the different religions but really I think the U.S is behind it. The u.s probably thought with a civil war the Iraqis would worry about fightin each other more than attacking the american and european troops and would end up coming to the Allies with information on the others hoping to make friends for better protection. Thats just an opinion though.
