Voted : more bad than good
I try to think on aglobal level where possible, but this case removes all my objectivity. All I can see with Mister Walton's Emporium is a bloated amchine that makes money at the cost f millions, too many of whom suffer without as a result of their money-making.
Definitely more bad than good.
It's hard to say. The sweat shops and illegal trade is bad, but those things would exist whether there was a WalMart or not. Because people will still buy crap. And I'm sure even local chains participate in some type of illegal trade activity. That's always around. Running the Mom and Pop stores out of business is not too cool. I'm all for shopping at local businesses and chains, and I do if they have what I need. But frankly, business is competitive. If Mom and Pop want to keep their customers, they have to think of a good business strategy and probably lower some prices. I usually buy my hardware related stuff at a local store. But the last time I needed a hack saw, all they had was one "made in China". lol Well, off to WallMart I went. At least there I had a choice. Comparing the above up against the number of people who've they've employed and the low prices that they offer to those that could sure use them, I'd say they've done more good.
HAVE YOU LOST YOUR JOB YET? JUST WAIT. fORIGNERS WON'T BUY AMERICAN PRODUCTS; SO , WHERE IS THE RECIPROCITY IN FREE TRADE.
