Flocking became extremely popular in the 1950s and 1960s and they even sold a home flocking device that could be attached to your vacuum cleaner, using colors like Pink or Blue. They still do flocking today, but use different materials that are not made of paper pulp anymore and the predominant color is white to simulate snow.

Have you ever purchased a Flocked Christmas Tree or have you Flocked your own tree?

Voted : I've flocked a tree or two in my time
We used to years ago growig up, with the spray stuff in the can. Tried the tinsel for a few years. And lights of course. Mom eventually started just decorating with one or two things. The past few years it's just been redbirds all over the tree with a white dove on top. A couple years before that it was little pinecones with red bows all over. Looks real nice too.

I remember running riot with cans of flock as a kid. Flocking neighbours cars and friends hair etc etc.

I'd do the same this year but I don't think I can run as fast anymore.

In the town where I live, you can't recycle flocked trees, so we haven't ever had one.
