Yeah, I have had racism against me, but only a few times. I never let any of it bother me.
Actually, the more I think about it, I haven't really experienced much racism against me at all. Practically none, except for three or so comments, other than that none.

Very few times, but yeah i have
Personally, I find it strange when people say that the West is supposedly so racist, because in my experiences, I have never experienced racism that much at all. And the only racism I have ever received was from other ethnic minorities, none at all from any caucasian.
This ballot has been done a few times already. I love hearing how bad the discrimination against white Caucasian people is. ballot #96426
Oh , actually I can remember one single time a caucasian was somewhat 'racist' against me, but in an intended good (although annoying) way. One told me something along the lines of "I can't imagine what it must be like to be an ethnic minority in the West, etc, etc". He was a far-left socialist, and in the way that he was trying to reach out to me by saying that he udnerstands that it must be difficult to for me because of my race... I just found it patronising and a little bit annoying, because in my life I have not experience the things he was assuming that I had- not at all. I understand that he had good intentions, but i just found it annoying and condescending that he was trying to stick the victim label on me based on my race, when that's not true of my life personally at all. Other than that, the times that I had experienced racism was only from other ethnic minorities. A lot of it was really mean spirited, but I never let any of that bother me.
FiddleFaddleOnLSD- You don't think whites can experience racism against them? I think they can, and I have seen it happen sometimes.

Though I did not know it at the time. I was a wee child walking with my parents (Daddy is black and Mumsy is white) when an adult made a very negative comment about us. It made Daddy cry.
^ It was in Birmingham, UK
Soc: It's interesting to me that you have seen more racism toward whites than you have experienced directed towards yourself.
No, only sexism.

Yes, violent racism.
Voted : Yes, a lot
Socrates, I understand it does happen but not anywhere near to what someone who is black or of mixed ethnicity experiences on a daily basis. What may be occasionally difficult or a very unpleasant situation for a white caucasian is an everyday constant experience for those whose race is obviously in the minority for that country. While it is not as difficult for me as someone who is an African-American in the USA, there are certainly a good number of places where I will certainly be looked it (not in a nice way) and made to feel unwelcome - at best. It is usually better for me when I am around other minority groups. I experience FAR less problems.
^Sorry, that just doesnt cut it anymore. Minority-on-white racism is both widespread and acceptable in modern society, and it makes me sick.

(Applause, Doc) I've experienced more racism from minority's on their own 'Turf'. That is, when I was with friends in a Hispanic or Black neighborhood. Subtle comments, whispers, endoendo, and outright, outspoken "You need to get out of our hood Cracker".
Yes, violent swarmings from Somalians and Haitianson a couple occasions growing up."I came from a place where every White face was an invitation to robbery.." (Joe Strummer, Safe European Home)

Mostly from darker-skinned Blacks who, for reasons beyond kenning, insist on hating me for the fact that my paternal grandmother chose to spend a little quality time with a Welshman.
Voted : No, never
I'm lucky.
FiddleFaddleOnLSD- I am not white and I have never experienced racism from whites.

Only one case of genuine overt racism I can recall. A kid (white trash) called me a spic in 6th grade. There was this other time in high school when my counselor questioned me about my unique appearance. I told him I was 1/4 Indian. He asked "the dot on the forehead type" while pointing to his forehead, "or the wa-wa type" while bringing his hand back and forth to his mouth. I don't think he was racist, just insensitive and ignorant. I'm 1/4 Amerindian and I probably would have been offended if I identified much with that culture. Though my ancestors weren't the "wa-wa" type. They were more like the "lets go sacrifice the people from the neighboring city before the next eclipse" type.
^This was the same counselor who was always drinking Irish coffee, you could smell it. Of course, the teacher's union makes it almost impossible to fire people like this. Three cheers for socialism!
It made me confused. Am I a white piece of shit, or a cracka muthau˘ka or can I be both at the same time?

please note that i am a Germany-born American, most of the hate directed at me are "nazi" oriented, meaning they consider me a nazi because of my birthplace.
