COMMENTS:
Voted : No, Prager's behavior should disqualify him
You sure find all the nuts out there. He's a bigot.
Voted : No, if a Muslim behaved in this manner, oy vey!
hahahahaa! I love the "I'm a neocon..." choice, I almost wet myself when I read it! Whew! Now, to the ballot question Batman! No, he should not hold a sensitive position of any kind...Another prime example of an individual who believe his comments are justified because it is aimed at a Muslim and most importantly, his existence, beliefs, and comments (especially if his comments are demeaning towards Muslims)are ordained by God, period, end of story...
Voted : No
I didn't know that the Holocaust Memorial Board was a "politically sensitive "government" post". The board has included such political heavyweights as Maya Angelou, Karen B. Winnick (an illustrator of children's books), William H. Gray (president and CEO of the UNCF), Debbie Abrams (WHO? a PR person for former mayor Guiliani's company), and other no names. The Council consists of 55 Presidential appointees in addition to 10 Congressional representatives and three ex-officio members from the departments of Education, Interior and State. I think you are massively overstating the importance of this position. I'm not really sure why you persist in posting covers of books he has written about Judaism unless of course you are trying to slander all Jews with the tactic of guilt by association. Which of course is EXACTLY what you accuse herzog of doing. I've never heard of the guy before this. I certainly think he has some "issues" and I believe a better candidate can be found. I'm pretty sure most Jews would agree with the full statement by the ADL: ADL Statement on Dennis Prager's Attack On Muslim Congressman for Taking Oath of Office on Koran New York, NY, December 1, 2006 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) issued the following statement in response to Dennis Prager’s November 28 online column, “America, Not Keith Ellison, decides what book a congressman takes his oath on,” where he said that the first Muslim elected to Congress should not be permitted to take his oath of office on a Koran: Dennis Prager’s argument that Representative-Elect Keith Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress, should not be permitted to take his oath of office on a Koran is, intolerant, misinformed and downright un-American. Prager is flat-out wrong when he asserts that Representative Ellison’s use of a Koran would be “damaging to the fabric of American civilization.” To the contrary, the U.S. Constitution guarantees that, “no religious test shall ever be required” to hold public office in America. Members of Congress, like all Americans, should be free to observe their own religious practices without government interference or coercion. Prager’s patriotic prattling is misinformed on the facts, too. No Member of Congress is officially sworn in with a Bible. Under House rules, the official swearing-in ceremony is done in the House chambers, with the Speaker of the House administering the oath of office en masse. No Bibles or other holy books are used at all. Members may, if they choose, also have a private ceremony with family and friends. At these unofficial ceremonies, Members frequently solemnize the event by taking an oath while holding a personal family Bible. Prager ridiculously asserts that permitting Rep. Ellison to take the oath of office would “be doing more damage to the unity of America and to the value system that has formed this country than the terrorists of 9-11.” What he fails to understand is that what truly unifies all Americans is a value system built on religious freedom and pluralism, not dogmatism and coercion. Prager presents intolerant, ugly views. His comparison of Ellison’s desire to “choose his favorite book” to that of the right of a racist elected to public office to use Hitler’s Mein Kampf is outrageous. If Prager were merely a blogger and radio talk-show host trying to be relevant and provocative, these views might not merit a response. But as a newly-appointed member of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council, Prager and his views must be held to a higher standard. What is ironic is that Ellison was elected with the support of most Jews in his district. Also ironic is that both the ADL and CAIR agree on this issue.

Voted : No, if a Muslim behaved in this manner, oy vey!
he' a stink-pot
well, we know who the next republican presidential candidate is.
sounds like we know jinn's real name too.
If only people would stop trying to bait each others' religions. It's like they want a war or something.
^Tell that to the neocons.
^ And that guy with the hook for a hand, Abu Hamza. And The Pope. And the rest of them who can't help but offend Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Atheists, Satanists, Jedi etc etc.
you can't offend buddhists and jedi
Fiddle: My pointing out that Prager is Jewish is simply in response to the fact that the media has tippy-toed around that particular bit of info. None of the articles I've read even mentions it. I only found out after doing a Google search on Prager. Talk about an 800-lb. gorilla in the room.
Voted : No, if a Muslim behaved in this manner, oy vey!
If you want to read a truly hateful and bigoted book...
