Hahaha... Yeah, right... I'd still be using Win98 if my old computer hadn't finally bit the dust last year. I plan on switching to Linux next.
Voted : Naw..XP's perfectly okay and works well, thanks.
When Hell calls to tell me that my services will no longer be needed...
Voted : I am switching to Linux
It has a cool interface but it's a resource hog and will slow down your machine. You'll probably need 2 Gigabyte RAM memory to make it run smoothly (not "just" 1 like MS annouced). Would be nice if they could throw in some memory sticks along with the OS. Takes about 3 hours to install the bloody thing and i dont think it's wise to do so until MS releases its 1st service pack... One other thing, which for me is a mistake; there are 5 or 6 versions of that os coming out. That's silly, they should stick to Home and Pro Vista. This will generate a lot of confusion methinks.
^I'm hoping that after Ye Grande Release, by which time XP will be Old Hat, that one could then buy a legal copy of XP(legal at last?!) for a decently-reduced price? - Possible?
Yo,Grumps... I wish you luck with Linux, my man. I've tried several times over the last 5-8 yrs., to make the switch to a Linux OS, trying several difrnt flavours, and always it was some goddam headache of a technical hurdle wot thre water on my fire. Most(most reliable) fun I ever had via Linux was a SUSE CD that didn't need to install(much) to your HD, but even then, it was never connected to the internet. My last fling with Linux was just 4 mths. ago ..playing with a new HD with SUSE (v.8?)installed on it -this time connected to Internet via ADSL, but installation files are headaches, and when you're done installing, who knows where it was installed, coz evidence of it (icons would be nice!) can't be found. I gave up - for the fourth? time. My guru tells me I should try Ubuntu or some name like that.. Good Luck, man. Let us know how you do, and exactly what flavour of Linux you go with (successfully)

Good Luck with the dishes, Grump. Gates will charge you an extra fee for that OS function, I hope you know!
haha Gates can kiss my little white ass then.
