Spam. If I remember correctly, the only neg karma I've ever given was for neothe spamming "copypastecopypastecopypastecopypastecopypastecopypastecopypastecopypaste" in several of his comments, if only to make the ballot more readable :P. It *would* be racism but for the fact that, despite what lots of people say about each other, very few on this site are really racist (IMO, at least). And the most blatant racist comments are normally neg karmaed into some other dimension, so I normally don't bother with those.

Weird, I can't see duplicate up there with the choices.....
I literally cant rememeber the last time I gae negative karma, until today.
Today I met a user with such a twisted, deceitful character, I had to give them negative karma for one of their truly backstabbing comments.
If I could find them in real life, I would punch them in the face repeatedely. Alas, Karma will have to do for now.
To answer your question more generally though,I am most likely to give nagtaive karma for spam or sabotage.
If I were to give negative karma, it would be for sabotage.

I've given the most negative karma to crank for racist and offensive comments.
Pure hatred. That's the only reason I've ever given someone negative k. It's only happened a couple of times, when someone viciously attacked people I care about. And I do mean viciously.

i almost never give neg k. i will give it if a comment is very cruel or just plain mean and has not merrit other than to offend someone or a group of people. but, hardly ever give it.
