COMMENTS:
ballot #106737
Doesn't seem like she was trying to justify the holocaust, but to respond to your saying that nuking them would have been less of a horrific experience.
Although it *was* a moot point.
I didn't say anything of the sort!

I'm a bit surprised that she seemed to indicate that the Holocaust occurred. Yes, she was trying to equate wartime bombings with a systematic attempt to kill every last Jew on earth. Somehow I don't think that would bother her too much judging by her choices and comments on other ballots.

Yes, very sick. Elie Weisel said some children were thrown into ovens alive.

Has the person who made that comment ever read about what it's like to be gassed? It's a prolonged, horrible death. You essentially drown in your own liquefied lung tissue. Your lungs burn and you try to hold your breath as long as possible before the inevitable agony. I might direct that person to Wilfred Owen's poetry -- he saw his friends die this way in World War I (and ultimately died there too).

Depends on the gas mojo. Wilfred Owen was writing about mustard gas - the effects are different for CO, Hydrogen Cyanide and Zyklon B. Of course the person making those comments doesn't think those gasses were used either....
It is very sick and ignores mention of Hitler-sanctioned medical experimentation on the living.
I have also read a lot about cyanide gas, the kind used in executions in the U.S. in some states still. Horrible.
