"Sue_Me"... you neglected to say why you hate them. Ever thought of that? My guess is the "all legitimate statements above" would apply to you. Apparently they provoke much passion in you, although your passion is violence.
"goodbuddha"... I have had cats actually bring me food. One was a homeless cat who would meet me nightly where I worked, he brought me a pizza crust he had found somewhere. Another was one of my own cats whom the elderly neighbor lady used to leave her table scraps out for on her porch... he brought me a chicken leg. Of course, countless mice and grasshoppers have been dropped at my feet by my feline friends. And once, one brought me a freshly sprouted mushroom!

Some years ago, Psycology Today Magazine did a study on people who like cats and dogs. One of their conclusions was that people who hate cats (not the ones with cat phobias) are people who tend to have control issues. As cats tend to exude intelligence and independence, people with control issues tend to find those traits annoying.
Because they can't be controlled.
Because they can't be controlled and manipulated.
I think only jet-setters,and selfish people hate cats-or just pets in general. I can't imagine a life without pets.all the people i've ever met that didn't have pets;most were/are very selfish,self-rightious and Liberal.

I don't hate cats...after all, dogs chase them, therefore leaving me the hell alone...by the way, bear traps work great for catching the dogs that your stupid neighbors set loose to crap on your lawn...
GOSH people you hate cats? why do you have to hate them? i don't think it's fun for you people to say that... some of you say stupid stuff that ALMOST sounds like i hate water cos the color it has and if i touch it i get wet>>!!!??? FUCKING MORONS! of course cats leave hairs (dogs do too!) and they are independent cos nature forced them to be that way its not their fault you cant hate them for that!! And i'll give you some interesting facts: Cats were the first animal (of any kind) domesticated ONLY for companionship with humans.
The cats are the favourite american pet since 1987 (before it was the dog) but since then more people own cats and like cats than dogs so stop thinkin its cool to say you'd kill cats its not, its just as cool as me sayin that i'd kill your mother...
and hell im serious if i see someone killing a cat i sure will hahahah..
out of all the people I know who hate or hate cats were Liberals, coincidence?? Or is it due to Jealousy??
Cats rule
They, like rats, and cochroaches have exploited our way of life and have bred out of control in many places in the world. They are not a truly domesticated pet and cause many artificial stresses in natural ecosystems. I personally don't hate cats, but I definately don't like their population problem and the ways they wipe out natural endemic species whereever they are introduced. Cat are the dumbest of all mammals.
Animal trainers will tell you that Cats are the HARDEST to train of all domesticated mammals.
They are just plain stupid.
don't get me wrong...i LOVE cats but lots of the negatives above are right on...i'm allergic but even if one isn't that effing hair gets everywhere. it has a tendency to just float til it finds your plate or nostril and weaves itself fabrics--my nose is itching just thinking about that crap! damn!
and some cat owners! why don't you keep your freaking pet indoors! if you love him so much build him a big kitty play house inside or a cool ENCLOSED place in your yard. they kill so much wildlife it is unreal. and stop telling yourself that well fed kitties don't kill the song birds, they are the worst because they ARE so well fed and healthy. also they killed 3 of my azeleas i planted by pooping in my flower bed so much. when this cat dies why not get a bird or gerbil.
