They're only steeling it because BBC America won't sell them the rights to the original show. They also copied that crap sitcom "Coupling" word by word, but they only did that because BBC wouldn't sell them the original show, too. They were actually going to show the original episodes.
Time to face it Yanky boys and girls...
British comedy is the best in the world. It's down to earth, clever and extremely sinicle. US comedy is transparent and mild.
We thought friends was alright over here, and I can watch Frasier if I'm ill in bed, but neither leave you crippled with laughter!
Black Adder, Faulty Towers, Office, Monty Python, Alan Partridge, Coupling... the list goes on and on.
David brent should be played by Ricky Gervais! Cos it was co-writen by him.... for him! No-one else could pull it off as effectively.
