I wondered why if they had the ingenuity to burn the tires off the car, they couldn't gather some wood, and start a roaring fire.

^ Someone actually got trapped and burned their car tires?

I keep a stocked duffle bag and enough water in my trunk to live and stay warm for 10 days. It's got everything in it from dried food to blankets.
