Seems hypocritical to me. Neither term is strictly accurate, there are no black people who are pure black, or whites that are perfectly white. Both are just general descriptive terms that don't necessarily have any offensive intent. It's like describing someone over six and half feet as tall. Or someone over 500 pounds as fat. But to take offense at one and not the other strikes me as extremely hypocritical.

Yeah. But I don't know any black people who get mad at being called black O.o
^ It never is (or very rarely) blacks. It's always overly sensitive white liberals who throw fits and come up with ridiculous terms like "african american" that make little sense and only serve to make them feel smug and superior.
Sheesh, another race baiting ballot...*sigh* How sad...

Oversensitivity.

Yes, and it's a very silly and ridiculous form of hypocrisy.
Barbara_Baby_Cakes - I think the hypocrisy mentioned in the ballot topic- of not being able to say 'blacks' but okay to say 'whites' is what is truly race-baiting and sad. By the way, I am neither white or black.
I don't understand how anyone could possibly vote 'no'.
the only whites I've seen are those who have been drained of blood, and frozen in the morgue. the only blacks I've seen are those who have been burned beyond recognition. I am sure in the near future, both terms would be uttered only by halfwits and sheetheads.
