NEW ADOPTION RULES SPARK CONTROVERSY

Changes to adoption rules in China are causing a stir,
According to new rules, Chinese babies can no longer be adopted by Americans who are obese, older than 50 or single. Adoption experts called the restrictions painful but common in other countries.
Last year, nearly 8,000 Chinese children were adopted by American families, but experts said that number will likely decline with the new rules.
If not being single means "Marriage" , that would make adoption of children from China impossible for homosexuals with or without a partner.

My attorney told me although China never did allow adoption to openly gay men or women, many adoptions were granted if a person simply wrote single on the application papers, don't' ask don't tell policy.
This is their country, and I'm not even arguing that they should allow adoptions to gays if they don't' want, unlike the USA, they don't pretend to be equal and I can respect that more than the hypocritical say one thing do another equal rights for all talk we have in this country.

What are your thoughts, not just with gay issue of adoption from China, but obese and the other rules china will be putting into place soon?

Their country, they can do as they please, they don't' pretend to be free

that's just sick - they have kids starving to death, and being sold to traffickers for $100/ a head.

Not only that, as is with other countries, these orphanages charge under-the-table fees of $20k+, to the prospective parents. Those in charge of these institutions must be retiring as millionaires.

Seems that their priorities aren't in order.

^ I agree, but China never pretended to be fair concerning human or equal rights, unlike some countries.
