I'm not sure if this story has made news in the US, but it is headline news in the UK.

There have been a spate of murders on prostitutes in Norfolk, East Anglia.

Richard Littlejohn, a notorious blowhard, has suggested in his newspaper column, that the victims 'asked' for it, given the 'profession' they were in.

He even used the phrase 'Ho Ho Whores' in reference to the current holiday season.

Do you agree, with Littlejohns assertion, that te women 'asked for it'?

In the column, he seems to be saying anyone who puts themselves in a risky situation is personally responsible for the consequences. Really he's just spinning the story to bolster his preexisting points of view. Too bad those points of view don't include the moral reprehensibility of exploiting a tragedy for personal gratification or gain.

If I went in to prostitution, i'd expect my mum to say I was asking for something bad to happen. I dont think I'd see her as a right winged loony for saying it
