a form of racism?

This was inspired by Mr_Susans ballot # 110587, where most users ignored or even defended certain actions that they never would have tolerated among whites, simply because they were being committed by non-whites.

Does holding minorities to a lower standard and excusing their behavior (when you wouldn't for non minorities) constitute a form of racism?

Yes
No, holding people to different standards baed on their race isn't racism, I'll explain below

Everyone should be held to the same standards, regardless of race. So actions that are deplorable by whites are also deplorable if done by indians, blacks, hispanics, whatever.

It is a little disturbing that so many liberals seem to holld whites up to criticism constantly, but make excuses when minorities are the perpetrators.

And I'm going to predict right now that a certain someone will use all his aliases to vote "no" and then not respond on here to defend this vote.

I was a minority today at walmart and I was expected to pay for everything in my cart like everyone else, bastards

If all else is equal, the answer is yes. If there's a cultural variable, maybe not. I've met some otherwise nice immigrants that don't always know what to say, probably because they're not used to diversity. A guy from Taiwan said he went to a Chicago restaurant, and they were all black, and he was scared.

why so many ballots about race coming from you?

Yes, it's racism. Just as much racist as it is to do the reverse, or to hold one accountable as being somehow "evil" whan another doing equally bad is somehow "good" or "not so bad".

^ He's simply pointing out a trend among users here. I have noticed time and time again users like LCD, Cathexis, cranky, mobsie seem to hold races at different standards.

eg. you'll hear cranky lump all texans into one group but as soon as another user does the same for muslims he'll cry foul.

i've pointed this out numerous times and i have never heard cranky adress this accusation of hypocrisy.

i don't mean to point fingers but the hypocrisy among these certain users is inexcusable.

What is wrong with Texans? They are just normal people like the rest of us.

Ah, come on Fiddle. You need to watch more TV and start basing your opinions on biased news and internet sites more. You'll soon see that all of us Texans are uneducated racist republicans with cows running around in our front yards.

It betrays the underlying racism among AA supporters.

Of course it is. By nature being "racist" means that the individual's race classification is considered above other factors, such as socio-economic, education, etc.

I think that more often than not, the people who accuse others of being racist, are themselves racist, or have racist tendencies. The situation you describe from Mr. Susan's ballot Herzog is a perfect example. They may very well have good intentions and feel they are being moral, but if they're dismissing something that is considered anti-social, as an example, just because the person doing the anti-social act is a minority, that is racism.
