IS IT HYPOCRITICAL FOR A WELL-KNOWN RACIST TO CRITICIZE OTHERS FOR RACISM?

[+] serious ballot by cranky
ACTIVE Sun Dec 24, 06 - Fri Sep 18, 09

Let's say someone who is generally known to be an obsessive racist starts constantly criticizing others for being racist, against members of his ethnic group, of course.

Should that be considered hypocrisy, since he is so devoted to his own racist beliefs?

Yes, that's hypocritical
No, it takes one to know one
He's attempting to deflect attention from his own racism
Both Hypocritical and Typical...

COMMENTS:
Well does the other person do just that? In other words, if Racist A is saying that person B is Racist and he actually is, then what's the issue? If both are Racist and are calling each other racist, it's true then. Not so much hypocritical as it is ironic.

Let's say that Racist A, despite obviously being a racist, maintains that he is innocent like children and pure like angels, i.e., not a racist. Is he a hypocrite then?

On this ballot, I prefer to use the technique that this particular racist uses, and not name names.

Its always tricky when anyone talks about race. By acknowledging the existence of the problem we are feeding it. When it comes to individual cases of racists my advice is to. Step away from the racist, not make eye contact, walk away and dont look back.

I don't know how to answer. I made a ballot trying to get at this in some way. Even before the big comment loss earlier this year there wasn't a lot of comments or votes. ballot #89533 Who can best make the determination of whether a comment/joke is bigoted? The person making the comment, the person/people to whom it is directed, or an outside observer?

It depends on a lot of things, but some people accuse others of racism as if it's like a game, which is silly. And the world is filled with people that lack self awareness.

...It is common practice for a Racist to accuse others of being a Racist...Who cares what they think, however, they make for great entertainment when they approach me with that non sense...Anway, great ballot question, Merry Christmas All!114

A racial comment, even in joking is still racist.

A racist criticizing another racist is just a further extention of his own ignorance.

See, I'm not a racist, I hate everyone equally. LOL
