[+] ballot by thesoothsayer created Sun Dec 24, 06 Some credit cards have rates that would make the mob go straight...some charge fees as if they are doing you a favor...some raise fees for reasons not related to your business dealings with them...some lure you with introductory rates and then raise them...in most agreements companies can raise your rate(s) for any reason they please so you really don't know how much you will have to repay...it may take years to repay if you pay only the minimum required...If they change your agreement and you don't like the new terms they can require full payment...there seems to be no oversight on behalf of the consumers...their lobbyists managed to get legislation passed making it harder to file for bankruptcy, even legitimate ones...are the credit card companies out of control ? are the legal robbers ?
