prediction : WHICH POLITICAL PARTY IS HELD TO A LOWER STANDARD OF ACCOUNTABILITY?

Cranky just posted a ballot claiming the NeoCons are held to a a lower standard than everyone else. I think this is true because no one expects NeoCons to be successful they are able to get away with more. When an A student brings home a B- his parents will reprimand him/her but when his/her D student sibling brings home a C he/she is often rewarded. This is essentially what the mentality is between Democrats and republicans, because democrats have a better record on the economy (and just about everything else) when the republicans gained the house during the Clinton administration they immediately demanded that he should balance the budget that the republicans had managed to destroy over 12 years of republican rule. Once he completed that they attacked him for what he did in his personal life. What do you think?

I don't think that either is held to a reasonable level of accountability. I would probably say republicans although I would be more likely to say libertarians or some other minor party because they aren't held to account as to how their ideas if implemented would impact people.

As far as Clinton goes... Yeah he did some good things for a democrat to the right of Richard Nixon (welfare, Branch Davidian, etc). I believe that the president who is the leader of our country should be held to account for their tawdry personal life. What he did is disgusting and shameful.

George W. Bush... well... history will judge him (harshly I think) as the democrats won't move to impeach him. I would say also that the republicans were held to account for their actions - they lost both houses of congress.
