A while ago some computer makers decided not to include a floppy drive anymore since it's storage capacity was so low, as higher capacity storage features became available.

So do you use floppy discs at all anymore?

They are still very useful even though they are outdated

Neither my home computer nor my work computer even has a floppy drive. I haven't used one in a long time. For moving data from one machine to another, the flash drive has pretty much wiped out all other formats, including the zip drive.

The school computer doesn't even read floppies anymore.

And I'd like to thank themoron who made that changeover, because I had to spend a week rediscovering about forty floppies' worth of saved info when we had to buy a new comp last year.
