Recently I've noticed a trend, or at least one I've perceived when it comes to the promotion of new shows or airing of movies on television. The use of the "Viewer Discretion Advised" to draw veiwers in rather than to warn them.

The show that is doing this more than any I have ever seen is the new FX Show "DIRT", they start off every commercial with the warning in huge letters.

Is this being used as a warning, or is it to intrigue users to get them to watch the show?

They care more about warning the public.
They care more about getting more viewers to watch.

Voted : They care more about getting more viewers to watch.
It's all about tittilation (sp?), making the viewers want to satisfy their most prurient desires.

"Censorship defeats its own purpose, because kids really want to see why it is censored"

something among those lines.
